Jim Edwards - 5 Steps To Getting Anything You Want

That is one HUGE claim.  Can this POSSIBLY be true?

Some time back one of my customers recommended that I review some of Jim Edwards' products.  Since at that time I did not know about Jim I had to do some research.  I learned that Jim Edwards truly is a marketing heavy weight.  I have already purchased several of his products but this review is about his "5 Steps to Getting Anything You Want" system.

To show just how POWERFUL this system is Jim had to let the world in on his secret.  Back in 1995 to 2001 Jim was bankrupt!  He was living in a house trailer.  He had no savings & delivered newspapers to get by.  He was $12,000 in debt & saw NO WAY to turn this mess around.

Now what made this even more incredible was that Jim previously was a mortgage banker in the early 90's making $72K / year.  He was working for a boss he couldn't stand at a job he didn't like.  Maybe some of you know the feeling.  The stress was tearing him up so much that his heart started giving him problems in 2000.  Then things came to a head & Jim got fired in 2001!  You can easily imagine how bad things go from here right?  Step forward to 2005.  Jim has had multiple EXPLOSIVE product launches that have catapulted him into the online marketing superstar arena.

I found his advertisement ABSOLUTELY compelling.  Yes he writes wonderful advertising copy but perhaps it was because I related to many of his experiences so well.  I found that stress from my job landed me on the operating table with the same type of heart condition that Jim had.  I needed some changes too!

The system is priced at only $97 plus shipping.  Not too bad for a life changing experience if he can deliver.  So I clicked the order button & the system arrived in just over a week.  (Note: This is hard product not a downloadable eBook.)

So, what came in the package?

It came with 2 CD cases.  One with the main audio CD "5 Steps to Getting Anything You Want" where Jim tells you all about the system.  The second CD is a 2-part audio CD with "The Magic Desk" & "The Secret to Winning."

There was also a shrink wrapped package which contained an 81 page manual that had the 5 Step system on it & the transcripts of the audio CDs.  This all fits nicely in a small 3-ring binder.  (The binder NOT included.)  Some bonuses were included.  There is a downloadable MP3 tele-seminar & the PDF transcript called "3 Keys to Living a Life You Love".

Now let's put all this in a pile & see how it stacks up.  This isn't physically a big pile of information, however, it is condensed & straightforward.  This is not a fluff-filled package.  So the info better be good right?

The truth is this information is P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L Stuff!

I have read & heard many of the motivational speakers of our time.  Jim follows many of the same people that I do.  Once again I find that we are on similar thought processes.  Tony Robbins is one of my very favorites motivational trainers & Jim tracks in the same path.  Many of his messages are no doubt from Tony Robbins just reworded.  This is not to degrade what Jim has done.  Just the opposite.

So let's look at how the information is laid out. 

First let's listen to the 5 Steps CD.  First the audio quality is excellent.  I was able to enjoy the lesson with no thoughts about clicks, pops or general quality problems.

Track 1 & 2 are intro tracks.

Track 3 is Jim's story that justifies this system.  It is probably embarrassing for him to tell this story, but it also shows that Jim is serious about teaching us how this works.  Hang on though, Jim talks pretty fast & gets a LOT of info out in a hurry.  That's fine with me.  I found it easy to follow.

Track 4 is the 5 Steps Overview - BANG!  That quick...  No waiting for the punch line.  In your face ... here it is.  This chapter has the overview of the system while the next chapters go into detail about each step.

Tracks 5-9 Unfortunately I can't tell you the title of these tracks because they ARE the steps. Talk about step by step. It wouldn't be fair to Jim for me to spill the beans, but let's just say that as you look at each step you will say...OK sure I buy that.  It looks too easy.  But the fact is that it is laid out in a form that is so easy to understand that it is scary.

Track 10 is a question & answer session from some phone call that Jim had.  Jim talks about his mentors & inspirations in his life.

So does this system work?  Well, I can say that honestly I was already doing many parts of this system.  I have come to this system through some of the same mechanisms that Jim did.  I just didn't have it laid out as organized as Jim does.  Everyone that I know whom I consider to be successful is already using the system in one form or another.

That leads me to the conclusion that if you aren't successful, you probably aren't following these steps.  Following these steps is CRITICAL to your success. 

Sure I believe that you could buy this system & think that these steps are too easy.  They don't really hold the key.  There isn't anything NEW here.  You might even say ..."That's STUPID!".  Hey you could even ask for your money back.  And you know what?  In 5 years you will be EXACTLY where you are today.  I don't mean to be mean or rude, but you see...the biggest problem is YOU!  This system address that problem square on.  You are your own biggest limiting factor by far.  It is all between your ears!!!

Success happens every day using time tested principles that are NOT new.  You have to look at this information and DECIDE to make the choice to go FORWARD. 

Jim is a great motivational speaker. It is hard not to feel the excitement as he talks.

Now about the bonuses.  I'll make this short.  I think that the Magic Desk is a very useful mind game.  I also think that 90% of you out there are going to think it's outright weird.  So be it.  Don't worry about it.  Jim is trying to teach you a VERY progressive way to think like your customer or your competition or whoever you want.  Your subconscious is a VERY powerful tool if harnessed. I'll still bet that most of you will think it is silly. OK but I still believe that this technique works.

The Secret to Winning is a more straightforward look at competition & what you should do about it.  I found his thoughts to be refreshing & different on this topic.  Again he had more steps.  Very easy to follow.

3 Keys to Living a Life You Love.  While, again this one has some weird exercises to do, I found the information simply amazing.  Positive, happy, wholesome information that can do nothing but make your life better.  This bonus isn't as detailed as the 5 Steps, but is almost as valuable.

So I gotta say, that you shouldn't buy this package for the bonuses...not that I think they are bad.  The 5 Steps program is the REAL reason to buy this package.  This will help you get your  brain focused like a laser beam on the problem of getting what you want.

I'm convinced that if you need to go from beginner to winner this package can help.  In fact it is CRITICAL to your success.  These are the thought processes that Jim used to become an internet powerhouse.
