OK there's this guy from New York....Who Boasts

Review of "Get Google Ads Free!" by Rex Turner 7/8/07:

You gotta hand it to this fellow (Dr. Jon Cohen).  He is not short on hype huh?  See what I mean at: Get Google Ads for Free!

So Dr. Cohen or Dr. Jon as he calls himself is in his late seventies & is kickin’ butt on the internet.  He is a retired medical doctor.

His claims are as follows:

1. He has gotten $87 Million in Google PPC ads for “Free”

2. He has made $314 Million from his free ads.

3. Now he is gonna tell us his “secret” for “Next to Nothing”.

Yup, that about sums it up.  OK I think I have it now.  Good grief!

So tell me the truth...is it worth buying?

 Well I admit that the price of admission is peanuts if the product can deliver.  Really when it comes to making money online, the cost of something like this doesn't even register if it helps me make more money online.  It's like trying to rebuild the engine in your car without tools.  You have to buy tools if you are going to make money online.

So after buying the thing…you know….curiosity made me do it right???   What did I find?  Was there any value?  What was the “secret”? 

I can’t even tell you just how much I expected this to be a big pile of junk.  But I have to be fair so let’s back up a second OK?

The PDF is 125 pages.  It took me about a day to go through all of the materials.  Of course it comes with MP3s & more PDFs called "Power Lessons".  Right off the bat I had a beef with the whole thing.  Keep in mind I would LIKE this thing to work.  But I read all the way to page 22 in the PDF before Dr. Jon got to the actual product.  The first 21 pages were spent defending how this is not a scam.  OK I get it.  He’s a bit touchy but I think that might have to do with all the HYPE he put in his ad!   See what I mean at Get Google Ads for Free!

Also, the PDF has the same numerous testimonials inside that were on the sales page.  HEY, I bought it already.  You don’t have to sell me any more….or do you???  Of course my ego is crushed when one of his testimonials is from a 19 year old single mom that made $61K last month.  Why don’t you twist that knife some more?  Almost every one of his testimonials looks just like ordinary folk.

Anyway, telling you the “secret” itself really only takes about 4 or 5 pages.  Dr. Jon could stop, but instead he goes ON & ON about HOW you use it…how you implement it & why you do this or that.

Honestly, the explanations were downright good.

He talks about keyword research & finding markets.  These are all well done…and quite frankly his job of linking to valuable resources in the PDF are better done than most of the PDFs I have gotten.  Good job Dr. Jon.

C’mon Rex…you aren’t going to tell us this thing is GOOD are you?

Well, yes & no.  Like I said the first 21 pages are Dr. Jon defending himself against his critics.  (He does that pretty well by the way.)  And the LAST 35 pages teaches you in great detail how to sell his product as an affiliate.  To a certain extent that chaps my butt.  But then, again, he does just about the BEST job I have EVER seen anyone do at this.  

Further, his affiliate area on his web site has more affiliate tools than some of the biggest launches I have seen.  You gotta hand it to the man.  It is an OUTSTANDING job.  One caveat is that some of the banners are too risqué for me.  You'll notice I did not use those.

But back to the heart of the matter…

Do you really get Google ads for free?  C’mon you know better than that right?  You weren’t born yesterday right?  You KNEW in your heart it wasn’t that simple. 

No, Dr. Jon's plan gets you the ads “EFFECTIVELY” for free.   Just don't expect some secret backdoor that Google doesn't know about.  I can’t say much on this without giving away the secret & that would be unethical for me to do.  But I will say that I have seen websites that apparently work just the way Dr. Jon is promoting.  The concept is astonishingly simple.  Keep in mind that real “work” is still involved here. No magic genie is used. But hey I don't expect somebody to pay me to just sit here & look pretty.  So the work doesn't scare me.

I was SHOCKED at just how many light bulbs came on while I was reading this PDF. 

Also, this product comes with power lessons in both PDF & audio form.  You gotta love listening to this fellow.  He is a CLASSIC “New Yawka”.  Hey I sound like an Okie with that southern drawl so I ain't makin' fun of him.  His passion is evident.  He is still defensive & quite frankly I find him pretty funny.  I enjoyed listening to him.  He claims more Power Lessons are coming.  I hope so. 

After listening to the audios it was beginning to sink in.  He wasn't just defensive for his OWN purposes.  He wants to make sure that YOU believe in the system enough to get off your fat fanny & go USE it!  What a concept!

So let’s review what I found.

Cons: Too much hype.  Too much self defense & self promotion.  Too many testimonials after I already bought the product.  And as much “how to” information as there was I would have liked maybe some more on the way you implement it.  He explains it, but a video example of setting up a site might have been a real treat.  Also, if you are a total newbie you need other information first.  This doesn’t cover how to set up a web site, how to handle autoresponders, create newsletters, FTP etc.  This document assumes you have been around a bit.  But if you are needing your PPC costs at Google to go down you probably are already past the total newbie stage so you’re good to go.  If you are a total newbie, you would be much better off looking at: Derek Gehl's Insider Secrets

Pros: This document is well written.  The vocabulary is indicative of a well educated person.  That was a bonus.  But more importantly, I think the “secret” is founded on a solid idea.  Sure he hyped it over the top, but if he didn’t you (we) might not give it a second glance.  I saw several ideas that just had never occurred to me before.  I personally believe that Dr. Jon went into greater detail in several areas than I would have expected…like the thought processes behind the “secret”.  He also give you some HUGE keyword lists to use in your quest for riches.  Sorry I can’t elaborate. 

Bottom Line: I believe these strategies will work.  I really don’t care what anyone else thinks or says.  Most of the people on the internet that are blasting this product don’t even own it.  They just “know” that there HAS to be a scam involved due to the hype.  No, I don’t think so.  I think it is just HYPE to get your attention.  (Remember, there is still work involved though.)

The best thing I can tell you is that I plan to implement these strategies.  I will go back & review the strategies again.  I am going to give it the Ultimate test.  I will invest TIME and MONEY in it.  I don’t expect overnight results any more than I would expect to lose 30 pounds overnight, but I believe in it enough to invest time & money in it.  Those are commodities that are too valuable to just throw away, so you know I believe in it.

So I KNOW I am going to take a beating for recommending this, but I DON'T CARE!  I give it the thumbs up!

Eventually, I hope to be able to update this review with bona fide proof.  That will take a while but I plan on being able to give it to you.

PPS.  UPDATE:  I have had some folks unsubscribe from my list because I was promoting this product.  So be it.  I have been told it was a "scam" by people who had never laid eyes on the product.  I paid FULL price for it.  I own it.  I read it.  Remember that is the whole foundation of MegaMarketingReviews.com.  Don't tell me it is a scam if you haven't read it.  Shame on you!  If you have read it & still believe that, then you have as much right to your opinion as I do.  Do not blindly believe people who have NOT read it.

I have tracked down at least THREE reviews now on the internet who call this book a scam & ADMIT they never read it.  You GOTTA BE KIDDIN' ME.  Boy does that show THEIR ignorance!!!  And TWO of these people were fairly big time marketers. 

One person who unsubscribed told me I was "unethical" for not divulging the "secret".  I thought about this hard.  Here's what I think... 

I think I would have been unethical if I HAD divulged the secret.  By the way AdSense has NOTHING to do with this system.  I have told you enough.  This system "effectively" gets your clicks free.  Dr. Jon shows you how to not have to worry about the cost of the advertising.  The system is stupid simple & you will wonder why you didn't think of it on your own!  You have to be smart about its application though.

I have told you more truth about this product than any review I found on the internet.  Granted I only read about 10 of them.  The truth will cost me sales because I don't just sit around & say everything is great.  I told you the problems too.

I still think you can make more money with this system than with some of the stuff I have bought from several of the so called "gurus".  This system is not without work.  It is not magic.  I intend to give it a try.
