There is no doubt that CoverActionPro V2 is an outstanding eBook Cover Software. However, many authors just starting out are on a budget and cannot afford the $297. These new authors are probably willing to settle for less actions because they have only one or two titles. For them I think a more affordable solution such as HighReseCovers is the way to fly.

Hey Rex,
Yeah maybe I was a bit harsh with cover action pro's site being a rip-off of eCoverSuiteElite's but they do have similar styles :)

I took a look at the price of CoverActionPro and it's BIG money for just a little bit more content. Whoa! $397! That's like half the price of Photoshop ;)

Gotta say I have the same 'beef' with standalone ecover programs. I've tried a few over the years, and they never seem to produce high enough quality. It's eCoverSuiteElite all the way for me!

Good luck,
- Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for letting me know about eCover Suite Elite. I wasn't familiar with it. I have been using Cover Action Pro for several years and once I got my hands on it there was no need to look further...at that time.

Not sure how you think Cover Action Pro's website is a "rip-off" of eCover Suite Elites. Doesn't look like it at ALL to me.

Also, even though Cover Action Pro 2.0 is more expensive look at the features. eCover Suite Elite is offering the same features that the old version of Cover Action Pro did.

Now Cover Action Pro does entire product groups(manuals, CDs, DVDcases all in one picture), stationary, business cards, etc. I think there is somewhere around 120 actions in the new Extreme version.

It does appear to me that eCoverSuiteElite is probably good for a basic eBook cover though, because it is a set of actions for use with Photoshop. That is a very GOOD thing.

My beef is with the "all in one eCover generators" that make uneditable, jagged eBook covers that look easy to use in the ad but leave so much to be desired. They are in a much lower class.

So thanks again, for letting me know about it. Good stuff.

Hey Rex, thanks for the heads up.
I've been using eCoverSuiteElite instead of coveractionpro for a while now, and it's been awesome. I can't help but think coveractionpro's website is a complete rip-off of eCoverSuiteElite's though :)
Thanks for the info though, might check it out!
